Hofstede's cultural dimensions



We often find ourselves discussing differences between countries and cultures in an attempt to understand them and negotiate with them. Geert Hofstede defines 5 dimensions of differences between cultures :

1. masculinity *

2. power distance

3. uncertainty avoidance

4. individualism

5. long-term orientation
